Graphic Design/Print Shop Operator

Precision Design and Manufacturing is looking for an expereinced Print Shop Operator/Graphic Designer to join our growing team!

Job Description

This role is pivotal in producing high-quality cutting and printing on vinyl for signage, pop-ups, stickers, and various client-specific prints, alongside managing other graphic-related projects. The ideal candidate will bring experience in decals, large format prints, and vinyl application, underpinned by a commitment to precision, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain print shop equipment, including vinyl cutters, large format printers, and other related machinery.
• Prepare and produce high-quality vinyl graphics and signage, ensuring specifications and quality standards are met.
• Manage the entire production process for a variety of products, including pop-ups, stickers, and custom signage, from design interpretation to final output.
• Apply vinyl graphics and decals to various substrates, ensuring precision and durability in application.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure artwork is optimized for production.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure the final products meet the company’s high standards and client expectations.
• Maintain inventory levels of supplies and materials, ordering new stock as required.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure continuous operational efficiency.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the printing industry to drive innovation within the company.
• Provide excellent customer service, working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver products that exceed their expectations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a print shop environment, particularly with decals, large format prints, and vinyl application.
• Strong working knowledge of print shop equipment and maintenance.
• Proficiency in graphic design software is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with a team.
