What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:
- Supervising and delegating employee’s workflow and duties while ensuring all staff are following safety standards as well as Humboldt Co-op's policies and procedures.
- Assist in the completion of reviews on Team Members - plan, monitor and review Team Member performance as it relates to the Performance Management process.
- Providing ongoing and frequent communication and coaching.
- Onboarding and training new staff.
- Demonstrating leadership in the operation of Point-of-Sale system.
- Assisting with interviews as needed.
- General Food Store duties as required - housekeeping, stocking, receiving, ordering, opening, closing, operate POS system.
- Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are interested in a career in customer service and:
- You have prior supervisory experience (considered an asset).
- You have above average communication skills and computer skills.
- You have retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising.
- Have knowledge of retail grocery operations and willing to expand knowledge in this area.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
- You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50lbs, climb ladders and kneel.
