The WDM North Battleford is seeking a Grounds Assistant (summer student) responsible for supporting the maintenance of the grounds and equipment at the WDM North Battleford. They will also assist with the set-up of special events and functions.
DUTIES:
· Grounds maintenance including trim caragana hedge, trees and shrubs; cut grass that tractor cannot reach with a push mower; weed and water flowers and trees; plant, weed, water and maintain garden.
· Special Events and Programming.
· Assist with the set-up and dismantling of special events and programs held in the Museum.
· Assist with artifact and exhibit security.
This position is approximately 16 weeks full-time term position from May 6 - August 23, 2024. Shifts include weekday, weekend, and occasional evening work.
The candidate must be:
· between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
· a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
· legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
