Starting Wage Range: $20 - $23 per hour. This is the starting wage range for this role and may vary based on internal equity, and a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking experienced, passionate and energetic Grounds Maintenance Operators to become part of our Golf Maintenance team. The Grounds Maintenance Operator reports directly to the Lead Hands and Superintendent, and is responsible for the general maintenance of the Whistler Golf Club.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, the equipment, tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to interact positively with guests as well as co-workers
  • Physically capable of performing all duties
  • Flexibility to work on weekends
  • Golf experience an asset
  • Positive attitude
  • Must be comfortable working outside in adverse weather conditions
Physical and Environmental Demands
Work is performed outdoors while exposed to dampness, fumes, odors, dust, dirt, rain, sleet, snow, heat, chemicals, machinery with moving parts, loud noise and irrigated water. These positions requires physical endurance during periods of extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. May also be required to frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
