Our group Product Manager role provides strong product-led leadership for the future of the group roadmap in a product model, in partnership with business stakeholders, engineering, agile & design experts. Groups at Best Buy Canada consist of cross-functional teams, each with their own Product Manager and own roadmap. Each group has complimentary teams that are working independently but cover similar areas of our customers’ journey.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do as a Group Product Manager:
Hire & lead Product Managers for your group using the role of manager, coach or mentor as appropriate
Partner with key stakeholders to align the portfolio with the company strategy, without overshadowing the Product Manager’s relationship
Be in sync with your engineering partner, the software development lead, to ensure the group of products is staffed appropriately and delivering as expected
Manage a substantial profit and loss (P&L) budget for your product group’s resources, licenses, and spend
Build a culture of product enthusiasts, driving strategy and providing vision and direction in all your interactions
Be a people manager, a portfolio roadmap advisor, and a product expert in your group’s domain.
What we are looking for:
7-10 years in product management experience, with demonstrated increasing seniority
Experience driving large scale initiatives to successful outcomes
People leadership experience with recruitment, hiring, coaching & mentorship
Familiarity working in an agile software development environment and building products that go to production every sprint
Demonstrated ability to discuss, understand, and simplify technical concepts for stakeholders
Experience with retail product management, or employee toolsets is a plus
