The Doubletree by Hilton is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Guest Service team. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality with a high level of professionalism and effective decision making, while also being very perceptive and disciplined. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The position is part-time/on call.
The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable in their home away from home.
Necessary Skills
- Exceptional customer service skills are a necessity, including the ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Previous computer experience mandatory – including but not limited to internet and e-mail.
- Accuracy in handling cash and credit card/debit card transactions. Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work well in a team situation, as well as being able to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, while being detail oriented. Applicant must display problem-solving skills.
- Applicant must have an exemplary record of attendance in previous employ and positive recommendations
- Pleasant, friendly personality combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Applicant must be available to work day and evening shifts, weekend shifts and night shifts as emergency situations dictate.
- Applicant will display some sales skills in a reservations environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
-(1-3 years) in the hospitality industry is considered a strong asset.
-Basic accounting skills would be considered an asset.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills.
