The role of the Guest Services Manager is to lead with success by taking ownership, and maintaining an organized and efficient process for regular operations. The successful candidate will possess a great personality, passion for guest service, and attention to detail, creating a vibrant guest culture as well as a healthy team setting.
You’ll be responsible for managing the reception area, supervising front office staff, enforcing hotel policies, and ensuring Guest Services are exemplary. Applicants should have experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrate a commitment to customer service, and come to work with a positive attitude.
Manager Duties:
- Set a positive tone and strong work ethic, leading by example
- Train and educate your team
- Communicate information and any changes to your team
- Make the schedule, working with availability and shift preferences as much as possible
- Work closely with accounting to manage cash outs and correct errors
- Keep the hotel clean and presentable, modifying checklists as needed to maintain a clean environment
- Inventory and Ordering
- Take ownership of the operation, filling in where required and ensuring the highest standards
- Building and maintaining rate plans based on seasonal operations
- Working with other department managers to ensure smooth and successful operations of the hotel/restaurants/and coffee shop.
Regular Duties:
· perform all check-in and check-out tasks
· process and post payments correctly
· make and manage online, telephone, and walk-in reservations
· answer calls on and operate the switchboard
· place and process delivery orders
· inform guests about rooms, rates and amenities
· provide information and recommendations about the surrounding area
· assist guests with inquiries, problems and complaints
· communicate with other departments and staff to ensure guest satisfaction
· handle, count and balance cash throughout every shift
· perform and complete all duties on daily checklist
