Prominent Hairstyling Academy is rapidly expanding and seeking motivated individuals as Instructor's Assistant/Hairstylist. Must be a current member of the Ontario College of Trades and hold a valid Hairstylist license. 3-5 years Salon experience is a must, teaching experience will be considered an asset.

If your passion is in the hair industry and if you like mentoring future hairstylists then working at Art & Technique could be for you.

Applicants must have a valid hairstyling license, strong practical skills in all aspects of cutting, colour theory and colour application and strong theoretical knowledge in all aspects of the hairstyling trade. Must also have the ability to follow a set curriculum, provide excellent verbal instruction and the ability to inspire.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour

Required skills:

• supervise up to 15 students
• multi-tasking/self starter
• able to work in a fast paced environment
• able to control a classroom/teach and prepare lesson plans daily/weekly/monthly
• retail experience
• confident in all aspects of hairstyling including: Women's cuts, Barbering, Colour techniques, advanced colour application, foiling, perms and up-do's
• Adhere to the strict guidelines of Health Protocol and Best Practices and new guidelines for COVID-19
