We are seeking a talented and experienced Baker to join the Rise Coffee House team. As Head Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of freshly baked goods, including bread, light breakfast fare & sweet and savoury pastries. Your passion for baking and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our cafe. The ideal candidate should have excellent baking skills, creativity, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality products.

• Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring appropriate proportions and consistency
• Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens & mixers
• Monitor baking process, adjusting temperature and timing as needed to achieve desired results
• Decorate and present baked goods in a visually appealing manner
• Collaborate with the team to plan and develop new recipes and seasonal menu items
• Maintain inventory and ordering supplies as needed, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Stay updated on current baking trends, techniques, and ingredients to bring innovation to our offerings
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering inquiries and offering suggestions to enhance the guest experience

• Previous experience as a Baker or relevant culinary training is preferred
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Creativity and ability to develop new recipes and adapt existing ones
• Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other cafe staff
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
