Job Summary:
Reporting to the Safety Program Manager, the Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for providing support to the business to ensure a safe work environment.  Supporting WCBs leaders in the application of safety processes and procedures, they are responsible for facilitating Health and Safety improvements, regulatory compliance and the development of safe work behaviors and competencies to ensure the elimination of all workplace injuries.  With a continuous improvement mindset, they will promote and sustain a safety culture that effectively identifies and takes appropriate actions to promote wellness and to prevent all forms of workplace injury (physical and psychological).  
Qualifications:
Two (2) years successful completed post-secondary education where the majority of coursework is in Occupational Health and Safety. Eligibility for certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Technician would be seen as equivalent to the educational requirement.
Plus, two (2) year of safety-related experience.
Must have a valid drivers' license and be able to travel.
