Valleyhaven is nestled in Chilliwack, an area renowned for its beautiful country setting and vibrant urban core. The three-story residence provides a safe supportive home, and 24-hour nursing care, for seniors who can no longer live independently, whether due to physical or cognitive issues.
We are looking for dedicated HCA's who are passionate about resident care and will go that extra mile to put a smile on our residents faces. Our focus is resident-centered care, and we view each person in our care as an individual with unique emotional, spiritual, and physical needs.

What You Will Do
- Provide personal care and attention to residents, ensuring that their activities of daily living needs are met, including meals and personal care.
- Observe, report, and record physical or cognitive changes with residents to the LPN.
- Provide input into the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Resident’s Care Plans.
- Assist with transfers of residents using the appropriate equipment such as lifts, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Encourage and assist residents to participate in social and physical, spiritual, and recreational activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, homelike environment for residents and staff.
Your Qualifications – The Must Have’s
- You have graduated from a recognized Health Care Aide Program and are registered with the BC Care Aide Registry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- You have the physical ability and stamina to carry out the duties of the role.
- You have a genuine passion for caring for our residents.
- You can provide a Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults and proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
