Health Care Aide

Golden Home Wellness is looking for compassionate caregivers who understand the importance of providing quality care while helping to enhance the quality of life for seniors living in a retirement community. We are looking for an individual who has impeccable communication skills and is able to problem solve on the spot. This person must always be cheerful and respectful while administering care to each resident. This individual will work their shift with responsibilities that include but are not limited to: * Assisting residents with their activities of daily living all while promoting independence and maintaining resident dignity. * Providing quality companionship which includes socializing, conversing and reminiscing with clients * Following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individuals health so we can quickly report to the family and Health Care team * Escorting residents too and from meals and activities * Ensure highest client safety and well-being * Provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Qualifications: * Must have a valid drivers license * Medication assistance certificate * Senior care experience an asset * Must posses excellent observation skills and be able to communicate these effectively * The ability to treat and care for Seniors and their property with dignity and respect * The desire to go above and beyond to increase the quality of life for seniors * The ability to be a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health related and emotional * The ability to orientate or ground someone with dementia and communicate the information or concerns with the ream * The ability to maintain patience and compassion at all times * The ability to practice attentiveness at all times while providing care * The successful candidate must be extremely dependable and have excellent time management skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
