We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs to a variety of construction equipment. Candidates require a strong work ethic to complete a task efficiently with minimal supervision. This position will be a combination of mobile and in-house technician services.

Responsibilities:

· Perform diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and set-up on a variety of on equipment and technology

· Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information

· Addresses customer concerns and resolve problems effectively and satisfactorily

· Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order

· Maintains accurate inventory of parts kept in stock in the shop

· Participates in Service Training programs as required for skills and knowledge development

· Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment

· Follows all safety rules & regulations in performing work assignments

· Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments

· Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties

Qualifications:

· 3 to 5 years of experience or in a related field

· Ontario or inter-provincial Certificate of Qualification, High School Diploma or equivalent experience required or related certification in the motive power trades.

· Experience performing repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following electronic Technical Manual procedures.

· Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn or heavy equipment

· Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment for diagnostic purposes

· Ability to use a computer and various types of diagnostic equipment

· Good communication skills

· Willingness to maintain or upgrade technical skills when training is necessary

· Valid Driver’s license required

· Passion and commitment to overall growth of the business

· Must be able to lift 75 lbs. independently
