Heavy Equipment Mechanic
On behalf of our client, Jump Recruitment Specialists is accepting resumes for the full-time position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Paradise, NL.
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at a progressive and well-established company, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining Heavy Equipment, such as loaders, dozers, excavators, and heavy trucks to ensure they are in top working condition.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of Heavy Equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance
- Manage the scheduling and organization of maintenance and repair tasks
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work, including service reports, repair logs, and parts inventory
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations and encourage a safe work environment for you and your team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a related position
- Thorough understanding of the different types of Heavy Equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair complex technical issues
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems used in Heavy Equipment
- Skilled at accurately identifying problems using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules and maintain thorough records
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality workmanship
- Supervisory experience considered an asset
- Any combination of education and experience considered
