Propell Canada is looking for Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our team in Calgary, AB. A Heavy Duty Technician troubleshoots, maintains, diagnoses equipment problems, disassembles and reassembles components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems by using appropriate tools and following OEM, company procedures & all safety guidelines. Successful candidates adapt to an always changing, fast paced environment, and work well in a team setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prep and ensure that all power train components are properly installed into product
- Assist with all engine & drive train related components
- Complete paperwork to ensure compliance with TYCROP standards
- Complete engines, transmissions, and torque convertors on schedule
- Responsible for safety-testing repaired equipment, and for cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Provide expertise on rework and R/R of components
- Prepare & maintain information for correct and updated processes
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and follows company procedures
- Lift/move drive line majors
- Safely operate specific units of mobile equipment including overhead and mobile cranes
- Monitor all hydraulics, engine & transmission installations
- Mentor apprentices

Salary: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
