We are looking for a Horticulture Gardener with experience in all aspects of plant installation and garden maintenance. Our work is focused solely between Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, Dunbar and Point Grey communities. We maintain new and established gardens as well as seasonal containers. We tend to all aspects of horticultural maintenance through IPM, bed grooming, pruning of shrubs, perennials division, and planting of annuals as needed throughout the season. We are known for the careful attention to detail and special requests all while ensuring that our clients enjoy their outdoor residential garden oasis.

BTW we do not do lawns.

You will work closely within a small team while you expand your horticultural experience this may be your place to leave your footprint. You believe in high standards, being mindful of others, and care committed to raising the bar through your attention to detail. You bring to the team basic horticulture knowledge, with training and experience within the industry.

4-5 days a week with a 7-8 hr day. Salary range $22 to $30 per hour based on experience

10 month season annually, from Feb/March until the end of November.

The role and responsibilities, not limited to

• Weeding, pruning, and transplanting,
• Planting of annuals, perennials, shrubs, and bulbs.
• Assist in day-today maintenance as per schedule.
• Ensure that all necessary tools, materials, and plants are taken to site when required.
• Ensure that the vehicles are kept clean and tidy with necessary tools after job site are cleaned and stored.
• Ensure that tools and supplies are stored are kept clean and stored appropriately.
• Green waste removal when necessary
• rain gear is a must.
• A Full valid BC drivers’ licence

If you have good horticultural knowledge, are highly organized and efficient with time management and hold a strong desire to develop and learn more in horticulture. You may be asked to work independently.

We maintain our gardens without the use of toxic chemicals, with a focus on soil health and "right plant, right place and leave the leaves". We use mainly hand tools and only electric power tools. Our design and project team installs plantings, raised beds.

Contract length: 10 months

Salary: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
