An exciting opportunity for a Toronto based Sales Specialist - diagnostic instruments, consumables, and reagents.
Ph.D. (or M.Sc.) and experience selling to Toronto hospital core labs essential.
Emphasis on new account generation and retention or existing customers.
TERRITORY:
Downtown Toronto and parts of Ontario.
Home office based, with local travel to customer sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate new business while retaining existing major clients.
Maintain multiple levels of strategic contacts within these accounts.
Deal with quotations, RFPs, contracts, and tenders.
Attend and represent company at meetings and shows.
Provide forecasts and reports using Salesforce.com.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ph.D. or M.Sc. with appropriate experience .
5 years of hands-on successful business development / sales experience, preferably in the niche Toronto Hospital Clinical Lab Diagnostics Laboratory sector.
List of key personal contacts / decision makers in the GTA.
Able to make an impact, and handle long, 2 to 3 year sales cycles.
Outstanding sales and bus development track record.
Proactive, with strong leadership and technical skills.
Strong technical scientific background.
Excellent customer relationship management.
Experience with MS software.
Any Salesforce.com experience an asset.
Living in the Greater Toronto area.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with experience and very competitive.
