Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll is actively seeking applicants for a Summer ReliefHousekeeping Aide position. The Housekeeping Aide performs the necessary cleaning duties as required with the objective of maintaining the hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess the Ontario Healthcare Housekeepers' Association (OHHA) Environmental Services for Front Line Staff course or are in the process of completing it.
- Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Physically able to perform the requirements of the job.
- Knowledge of WHMIS as it pertains to Housekeeping.
- Able to perform cleaning duties as required, in a clean, sanitary and orderly manner.
- Computer knowledge and proficiency preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Other pertinent conditions:
- As per the UNIFOR Collective Agreement ($26.37 per hour)
