REPORTING TO

In this role, you’ll report directly to the Property Manager of The June Motel, Beaver Valley.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring The June’s service and brand standards are being upheld in the guest rooms and back of house. Duties will include doing laundry, cleaning guest rooms and common areas, ensuring fires are extinguished, and setting up breakfast. A room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly and able to address problems or special requests.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean public spaces and restock items where required
• Complete guest room laundry
• Set-up ‘next day’ breakfast in Parlour area
• Ensures fires are extinguished in the evenings (times may vary)
• Assist guests as required, in-person or via text message
• Follow emergency and safety procedures and complete reports as necessary.

PREREQUISITES

• A flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• A physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (approx. 30 lbs) required
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• A high degree of attention to detail and professionalism
• Demonstrated previous housekeeping experience

QUALIFICATIONS

• A secondary school diploma is preferred
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills required
• General computer proficiency; including Google Workspace an asset

DETAILS & COMPENSATION

• Rate: $18-22 per hour based on experience
• Hours: Approximately 20-40 hours per week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
