Job description

Seasonal position available at this award-winning campground for Housekeeping attendant. Applicants MUST have exceptional customer service skills, excellent command of the English language, a positive attitude, be well-groomed, outgoing, detail oriented, mature, a team player, and have a driver's license and reliable transportation to the north end of town. It is imperative that the applicant be comfortable conversing with our guests in English. Applicant will take pride in knowing that our campground guests will have a more enjoyable vacation because of the efforts made in this position.

Position will suit an energetic student or individual. Duties will include detailed cleaning and preparation of cabins, daily scheduled cleaning of guest washrooms and other guest areas, along with other duties as assigned. Attention to detail is paramount. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. and think on their feet.

Hours and days vary and may change throughout the season, and will be approximately 30 hours per week. Flexibility is a MUST.
Position to start the beginning of May, and will continue through Labour Day weekend, and possibly into October, if available.
Due to the short nature of the season, no additional time off will be available for vacations, other than regularly scheduled days off.

Again, customer service skills MUST be impeccable.

To Qualify for the Canada Summer Job program applicants must be 15-30 years of age and Canadian Citizen/Permanent Resident.

Required Skills

- Able to produce a current Vulnerable Sector Police Records check prior to start date.
- Must be polite, courteous and well-spoken.
- The ability to converse in English.
- Able to work well under pressure, while maintaining clear thought process and decision-making.
- Must have reliable transportation to the north end of town.
- An interest in outdoor hospitality.
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to work co-operatively as part of a team, yet work well independently.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to take initiative.
- Driver's license.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to operate lawn equipment.
- Must strive for excellence in guest services at all times.
- We are looking for highly ethical individuals we expect that once you have accepted the position if it is offered, you will remain with us for the duration of the season and not job-hop.
