Position Overview:
The Housekeeping Department Lead is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with all aspects of the day to day functions of the Housekeeping Department here at the Copperstone Resort.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspecting rooms to a 4 plus star standard, which includes such items as:
· Inspecting all cleanliness details of rooms, including but not limited to kitchen areas, washrooms, lighting, beds (including underneath), etc.
· Ensuring all amenities are placed nicely within rooms.
· Collection of any lost and found items from Room Attendants.
· Reporting any maintenance required to the maintenance team.
· Make sure all housekeeping storages are stocked and organized.
· Make sure every kitchen in each room has the correct inventory for guests before their arrival.
· Assist in cleaning rooms when required.
· Assist in ensuring housekeeping rooms are kept in an orderly fashion.
· Manage Inventory and supply chain
· Assist the housekeeping team in any manner.
· Attend to in-house guest requests.
· Transport guest luggage between locations.
· Keep vehicles clean and tidy.
· Support the front desk with bed changes and guest needs as required.
· Provide janitorial services for common areas of buildings and offices.
· Empty garbage in the office daily
· Clean floors and carpets in various locations
· Handle laundry in various sites to ensure organization.
· Schedule staff and maintain full coverage needs.
· Coordinate needs with the Operations Manager for staffing.
· Maintain a financially stable department.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a valid Driver’s license.
· Previous experience in housekeeping management (Considered an asset)
· Ability to read, write, and speak English
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Service oriented.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Position requires flexibility in shifts and schedule and evening/weekend work is required.
· Extensive physical activity and lifting daily to complete position requirements as above.
· Training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
