The Holiday Inn Express & Staybridge Suites hotels are recruiting for our Room Checker position as part of our Housekeeping team. Part-time and full-time hours are available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checking guest rooms to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Provide training and coaching to our housekeeping team members.
- Perform morning preparations for the housekeeping team including room assignments.
- Communicate with other departments.
- Cleaning guestrooms, vacuuming, and making beds to the high standards of the brand, within established timelines.
- Ensuring the work environment is tidy and well organized at all times, including hallways, carts and linen storage areas.
- Removal of waste from guestrooms/corridors to central processing area.
- Proper tagging and handling of lost & found items
- Proper communication of maintenance issues
- Adheres to all hotel policies regarding security, safety procedures, and guest confidentiality.
- Maintains the appropriate personal appearance and hygiene when on duty, including proper uniform.
- Proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience required
- Available to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays
- Friendly, customer oriented attitude
- Works well with little supervision in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively and positively with guests and coworkers
- Job requires constant standing, walking, lifting and bending
- Requires some heavy lifting (approx. 40-50 lbs.)

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
