You will champion the full spectrum of human resources, from talent acquisition to professional development, ensuring our team members are aligned with our growth trajectory. A core responsibility is to manage the lifecycle of our talent, from onboarding to exit, optimizing their journey for success. This role will liaise across departments, ensuring that both employee and organizational needs are met with precision and proactivity.

At Granted, our HR Advisor stands at the intersection of people and strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and transparency, and ensuring clear communication to achieve organizational excellence.

This role will include three primary skills sets:

  • Talent Development & Management: Expertise in overseeing comprehensive talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management. This skillset demands a proficiency in devising performance metrics, aligning team members with organizational goals, and implementing professional development trainings. The focus is on ensuring efficient hiring processes and fostering a conducive environment for employee growth.
  • Employee Relations & Compensation Strategy: Mastery in addressing employee well-being, from compensation structuring to conflict mediation. This encompasses the ability to craft and oversee benefits programs, handle employee grievances, and lead salary negotiations. It requires an aptitude for crafting solutions that balance individual concerns with organizational priorities.
  • Organizational Strategy & Compliance: Acumen in driving organizational coherence through strategic HR planning and adherence to compliance standards. This entails guiding change management, updating policy handbooks, and ensuring company-wide compliance. A knack for strategic foresight combined with rigorous attention to detail is essential for maintaining alignment with industry standards and company values.

We leverage available government funding for those who fit the grant criteria, reducing overhead of the businesses we work with and improving the success of businesses across Canada.

ROLE DIVISION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Note: While these are the responsibilities, with part time hours (approx 30 hours a month, responsibilities will be based on needs that arise throughout the month, and/or projects of focus by month)

1. Talent Lifecycle Management (25%)

  • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition and onboarding processes.
  • Spearhead performance management initiatives including annual reviews, peer-to-peer, and upward feedback. Ensure alignment through coaching and guidance.
  • Conduct Stay and Exit Interviews, deriving insights for continuous improvement
  • Ensure smooth onboarding for new team members to set them up for success.
  • Implement soft skills training and other professional development initiatives.

2. Employee Welfare, Growth, and Compensation (35%)

  • Administer compensation and benefits, ensuring annual enrollment accuracy and addressing FAQs.
  • Architect learning and development modules, especially in HR areas like feedback mechanisms and conflict resolution.
  • Be the primary point of contact for all employee issues/concerns.
  • Mediate conflicts as a 3rd party, ensuring neutral resolutions.
  • Manage vacation allocations ensuring fairness and operational continuity.
  • Lead salary negotiations and compensation reviews.

3. Organizational Synergy (20%)

  • Guide through change management processes.
  • Handle employee relations intricacies such as discipline, conflict resolution, discrimination, and more.
  • Oversee action points from feedback sessions and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Clarify and update the company handbook as required.
  • Strategize on capacity and succession planning, identifying hiring needs and potential gaps.
  • Organize team events that foster learning and bonding.

4. Compliance, Metrics, and Strategy (20%)

  • Ensure company-wide compliance, from the policy handbook to contracts.
  • Own HR metrics, from computation to report generation.
  • Play an instrumental role in health and safety committees and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic HR planning, presenting insights on vital metrics like absenteeism, turnover, and stress leaves.
  • Manage vacation allocations ensuring fairness and operational continuity.

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a candidate who has:

  • 3+ years experience in HR Management
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
  • Performance Management
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration
  • Learning and Development, specifically in HR modules
  • Change Management and Event Planning
  • Employee Relations including conflict resolution and disciplinary matters
  • Capacity and Succession Planning
  • Compliance and Policy Framework
  • Metrics and Reporting in HR
  • Health and Safety initiatives
  • Strategic HR Planning
  • Skills: Impeccable communication and articulation capabilities.
  • Attributes: Proactive, Detail-Oriented, Empathetic, and a Natural Problem Solver.

COMPENSATION & WORK ARRANGEMENT:

  • Role: Part-time (8 hours per week, approximately 30 hours a month)
