The Opportunity:

Note: We have two positions (1) Regular, Full Time and (1) Maternity Leave Coverage with an expected end date of May 2025.

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Client Services, you will work closely with employees, leaders and the union in their business area to deliver value-added services aligned with business objectives and priorities by assessing, analyzing and anticipating HR-related needs while seeking to develop creative solutions. Furthermore, the HRBP will work collaboratively with HR team members to deliver core HR programs and help deliver on business transformation. Key elements of this role include::

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will:

Demonstrate a customer focused mindset.

Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, working collaboratively to understand and support their business and priorities.

Coach leaders to develop succession plans, upskill, and performance manage their teams.

Provide HR policy, legislation and collective agreement guidance and interpretation.

Assist with employee issues and provide investigation assistance as required.

Analyze metrics to determine trends for action.

Lead the planning, delivery, and facilitation of HR initiatives with your assigned client groups. These skills will make you successful::

You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources Management, or other related fields.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a HR generalist, specialist role or recruitment role; experience working within a unionized environment would be an asset.

CPHR certification and/or Change Management certification would be an asset.

Experience in guiding work groups through organizational change.

Able to facilitate training or meetings as required.

Strong ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

Ability to build partnerships with business leaders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to develop, recommend and implement innovative solutions.

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, focusing on collaboration and ‘win-win’ outcomes.

Ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues.
