Job Description
Position: Security Architect - Senior
Location: Orillia, Toronto, Ontario (Onsite)
Duration:Long Term Contract
Must Haves:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a Security Architect senior role
- experience with I&IT security concepts, programs, frameworks, and methodologies
- experience with identity and authentication schemes for internal and external access in high sensitivity environments
- experience with various development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and security testing frameworks
- experience with process design and analysis
- experience with public sector governance processes and requirements. Public sector experience with law enforcement is a benefit.
Skills and Knowledge:
Technical Knowledge:
- Expertise in I&IT enterprise architecture with knowledge primarily in Technical, Application as well as in security, business, and information domains.
- Have successfully led the design of multi-stakeholder, cross-platform technology solutions.
- Have experience with IT strategies, policies, plans, current and emerging enterprise architecture principles, methodologies, mechanisms, and techniques.
- Have experience conducting threat risk analysis, identifying risks pertaining to existing business solutions and applications and providing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Have experience analysing portfolios of business solutions and determining the future direction of each portfolio based on the organizational needs and industry directions.
- Have knowledge of technical security best practices to provide practical expertise to meet complex and diverse needs.
- Have knowledge of current industry standards to provide advice, including systems analysis, performance & capacity management, development, testing and implementation methods, Change Management tools and techniques.
- Have a deep understanding of governance processes and best practices in governing architecture of technology projects.
- Have a strong understanding of risk management and how enterprise architecture processes and best practices can be used to manage risk.
- Have the ability to apply industry best practices and standards in architecture, software and systems engineering, design and development tools and techniques, and software lifecycle methodologies.
- Have knowledge of Project Management and Service Management practices
- You have knowledge of Application Portfolio Management frameworks.
Evaluation Criteria
I&IT Architect Experience 40%
- Experience with I&IT security concepts, programs, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Experience with identity and authentication schemes for internal and external access in high sensitivity environments.
- Experience with various development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps) and security testing frameworks.
- Experience with multi-tiered high availability services including web front end, APIs, applications, storage, and database tiers.
- Experience with I&IT networking concepts and design.
- Experience with data storage concepts, structures, and backups.
- Experience of encryption and public key infrastructure concepts and use of certificates.
Business Process Modeling and Design - 35%
- Experience converting business requirements to technical outcomes.
- Experience with developing business models for cross agency/partner data flows.
- Experience developing wireframes and user test cases.
- Experience with process design and analysis.
- Support development of business process and technical documentation.
Relationship Management - 25%
- Experience managing executive relationships and reporting to senior management.
- Experience building relationships with stakeholders, in a multi-stakeholder, cross jurisdictional environment.
- Experience with public sector governance processes and requirements.
- Leadership to manage and resolve issues, working in collaboration with team members.
