About the Opportunity
The IMIT Lead plays a pivotal role in guiding groups of support consultants during the EMR Go-Live phases. This leadership position is centered around providing strategic direction, oversight, and hands-on support for the clinical implementation, ensuring the successful adoption of the EMR system across various clinical settings. As an IMIT Lead, your responsibilities will include leading teams involved in the orchestration of support activities during the CIS Go-Live events. You will be instrumental in managing the ATE support teams, ensuring thAt They are well-prepared and equipped to assist clinical staff effectively during these critical transition periods.
Your role involves direct engagement with clinical teams to understand their needs and to facilitate a smooth transition to the new EMR system. You will address issues of varying complexities, providing clear and effective communication, and ensuring that any problems are resolved promptly and efficiently. This includes leading the analysis of issues, overseeing the resolution process, and communicating outcomes to all relevant stakeholders.
Reporting to the ATE Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the successful implementation of CIS Go-Live events across the province. This leadership role demands a commitment to excellence with a focus on aligning activities with the overarching OPOR strategy and ensuring thAt They support the strategic mission, vision, and goals of NSH and its clients.
Your tasks will extend beyond coordination, encompassing the management of timelines, documentation of outcomes, and effective communication of progress to leadership teams. As an IMIT Lead, you will ensure that all activities within your domain align with NSH's business plan, establish policies, and services level agreements, while fostering a collaborative environment that leverages IT applications to achieve strategic objectives
The IMIT Lead for the OPOR project is designed to lead teams both in-person and virtually, across the province during the seven critical Go-Lives. From now until January 2nd, 2025, in the pre-deployment phase, the position operates under a flexible hybrid model. Team members can work from their home location while occasionally traveling across Nova Scotia for essential readiness activities. This arrangement ensures effective project deployment while respecting work-life balance and personal commitments. We are open to applicants from all corners of Nova Scotia, with no requirement or expectation for relocation to Halifax. During our Go Lives, there will be extensive travel to Go Live sites. About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
•    Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Information systems or health related field. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience
•    Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in Clinical Application implementation, previous Lead experience preferred
•    Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
•    Experience supporting clinical applications systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
•    Proficiency in various programming and clinical application reporting tools
•    Proficient knowledge of healthcare industry required; familiarity with clinical and administrative hospital functions and departments preferred
•    Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
•    Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
•     High level of accuracy and attention to detail
•    Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
•    Experience in data analytics
•    Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
•    Excellent verbal, written communication and influencing skills
•    Clearly communicates NSH vision, mission and values
•    Experience in working with patient care leaders
•    Highly self-motivated, directed and change oriented
•    Ability to perform independently and manage workflow appropriately
•    Ability to analyze highly complex systems and workflows
•    Ability to conceptualize, plan, organize, coordinate and manage the work of a major program or function within the department
•    Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
•    Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
•    Ability to lead and direct software upgrades
•    Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures
•    Demonstrated ability to establish and build strong working relationships
•    Strong communication skills-written and oral and the ability to present in large groups
•    Ability to demonstrate project management, customer service and support skills, and ability to escalate and contribute to resolving issues accordingly
•    Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Work, MS Visio and MS Power-Point

Hours
-Five (5) Long-assignment, Full-time Positions; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
-Approximately 36 months (assignment length subject to change) 
Compensation and Incentives
$38.79 - $48.48 Hourly
