Honey Bee Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Building/Facilities Maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment and manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems using diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access and to remove defective parts.
Monitor and track the performance of plant equipment and new installations.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in the plant and offices.
Control downtime by informing production operators of routine preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance.
Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
Provide regular reporting to senior management on operational issues.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years experience as an Industrial Mechanic/millwright and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Vocational or technical training related to Industrial Mechanics/millwright is an asset.
Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
