New Leaf is a not-for-profit social service agency located north of Newmarket, providing residential and day supports to adults with developmental disabilities. New Leaf’s mission is to provide a safe home to, and enrich the lives of, individuals with development disabilities in a unique sensory and natural environment as we assist individuals to live and work as valued members of society and the community. We endeavor to provide quality supports and services that offer a rural option to individuals with intellectual disability, dual-diagnosis, and/or other complex needs.
We have summer contract positions available for anInformation Technology (IT) Student to support various aspects of our technology infrastructure. We will provide you with exposure to a wide range of IT responsibilities, including technical support, system maintenance and staff training.
Responsibilities
· Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and software
· Assist in the setup and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
· Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
· Conduct research on emerging technologies and contribute ideas for process improvement
· Assist in documentation of IT processes, procedures, and system configurations
· Participate in the testing and evaluation of new software and hardware
· Provide assistance in IT-related projects and initiatives
· Collaborate with team members to develop and implement technology solutions
· Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
· Assist in preparing documentation for training purposes.
Education and Experience
· Current enrollment in a relevant program, such as Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum of 1 year of related (paid or volunteer) experience is preferred. This could include Customer Service Positions
Technical skills
· Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, IOS, Android)
· Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications
· Knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting

· Able to provide a vulnerable person’s police check
