As the Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with the Corporate Learning and Development team and be responsible for maintaining existing learning offerings, designing and developing face-to-face, e-learning and blended learning, conducting training needs analysis, delivering training, and evaluating the effectiveness of courses and their delivery. Primary duties include:
- Maintain existing course materials and files, including text, image, and audio updates.
- Design workshop curriculum and learning programs based on instructional design methodology such as the ADDIE model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
- Record voiceovers for use in online courses.
- Analyze learning needs, determining project goals, learning objectives, and performance measurements by collaborating with subject matter experts, clients, and project managers.
- Design and develop face-to-face, online, and blended learning materials to improve the transfer of learning and engage learners by utilizing adult learning principles and best practices.
- Map and align curriculum to learning objectives, assessment/evaluation methods, and competency-based education.
- Utilize evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of learning and training solutions.
- Stay informed of trends in learning design to apply current research and theory to the practice of instructional design.
Qualifications
- A degree in Education, Adult Education, or related field and at least 4 years of experience in face-to-face, e-learning, and curriculum design and development.
- A thorough understanding and passion for adult learning theory, curriculum design and research-based learning.
- Intermediate experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite of applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Audition, Audacity) is required.
- Intermediate proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise is required.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required.
- Proven organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to set appropriate priorities, manage workloads and multiple projects independently and as part of a team.
- You will be results focused, with strong relationship building skills. You will be a good communicator who is effective and thorough. You will be able to work effectively in a changing environment and be able to demonstrate analytical thinking.
