Northlands College in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) are excited to announce the establishment of a new Dental Therapy Education program. In support of this new program, we are seeking applications for a Dental Therapy Instructor position.
This position will be located in La Ronge, SK. The College is seeking graduates from an accredited Dental Therapy program or Dentists (DMD or DDS) who have some experience at both the leadership and administrative level. Previous teaching and mentoring experience will be considered an asset. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (some of which is in the last three years) who are subject matter experts in the area of Dental Therapy (as per scope of practice for Dental Therapists). The start date for this opportunity is April 29, 2024.
Applicants must be adept to working in a clinical teaching setting with shifting priorities. The work can be complex in nature and work volume will fluctuate with peak periods that will require additional effort. Candidates must have a proven track record of effectively working in a team environment, have a pleasant disposition and proven ability to foster and maintain collegial relations.
The successful candidate will be required to exercise sound judgment, independent decision-making, discretion, and sensitivity as these positions are privy to and work with sensitive and confidential information. The position requires the candidate to be computer literate, specifically proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with web based instructional technology is an asset.
The salary range for the instructional role is $77,052 - $105,900.
