Interior Trimmer

Northplex Ltd. is a modular home company that builds and sells quality modular homes for customers and developers. Our stylish modular homes are built in a 165,000 square foot climate-controlled facility in Barrhead, Alberta.

Job Summary:

Northplex Ltd. is currently seeking a Full-Time Interior Trimmer located in Barrhead, AB. This position is for all interior trim work, including baseboards and crown work.

Position Accountabilities:

• Read production orders, diagrams and specification lists
• Study specifications in blueprints, or building plans to determine dimensions and materials required
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saw
• Process lumber and metal components using hand and power tools (circular saw, table saw, chop saw, nail and staple gun, sander, etc.)
• Measure, cute and install baseboards, door trim and crown using required tools (Brad nailer, saws, etc.)
• Work within the larger team to create a safe, clean, and efficient workplace
• Follows procedures accurately and carefully to ensure work is completed to the highest standards possible
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Has achieved a high level of technical skills or knowledge in the trade
• Ability to read and follow detail-oriented blueprints, drawings, and written specifications
• High attention to detail
• Highly organized, good work ethic, willing to learn, and good attendance
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Team-player with good attitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Perform duties in an organized and productive manner in a fast-paced environment
