Employment Requirements
· Residing in Alberta (preference is Edmonton area)
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable abstract – client / vendor site visits required (project dependent)
· Legally entitled to work in Canada (must maintain a valid CDN Social Insurance Number for duration of employment)
Primary Role Responsibilities
- Design and engineer integrated HVAC systems for a diverse selection of clients and industries.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project discipline lead that will provide technical design and oversight to project team from project initiation to completion
- Actively participate in discipline and project reviews.
- Involvement in full design build projects
- HVAC equipment and material selection and recommendation given diverse environments and specifications
- Quality monitoring and control over technical aspects of assigned projects for their discipline
- Supporting commissioning and project turnover processes
- Field engineering construction support.
- Ability to travel to various job sites as required
Skill and Abilities
- Plan engineering work execution
- Prepare key deliverables
- Ensuring compliance to established Company, Client, and Project Standards
- Competent (fluent) in English (written, verbal, comprehension).
- Manage changing work priorities and timelines.
- Be receptive and responsive to client needs.
- Expertise with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and relevant engineering software.
- Effective communication and interaction skills to liaise between clients, vendors, employees
- Knowledge, understanding and application of applicable HVAC codes and standards including CSA, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA and building codes
- Designing HVAC for spaces such as labs, pump houses, electrical buildings, office environments, shops, classified areas.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Engineering degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Canadian P. Eng designation
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driver’s abstract for project-related travel.
- 5-8 years progressive mechanical HVAC engineering experience
