Senior International Tax Specialist

This position is responsible for supporting the Corporate Taxation group in transfer pricing, tax compliance, provision, audit defense, tax planning and administrative matters.

Performance Expectations

• Responsible for the preparation of transfer pricing documentation in accordance with the OECD Guidelines and local jurisdictional requirements to minimize the company's exposure to significant transfer pricing adjustments or penalties.
• Reviewing the current business structure on an ongoing basis to ensure that the transfer pricing policies are consistent with the arm's length principle.
• Provide support on income tax and transfer pricing audits globally
• Responsible for supporting assigned global projects as needed
• Assist the Corporate Taxation group in responding to queries from external and government auditors; internal plant accounting managers and external service providers.
• Assist with quarterly and annual external reporting as it relates to financial statement income tax provisions.
• Assist with Canadian income tax filings and reporting requirements including annual corporate tax returns, tax installments, foreign affiliate tax filings, transfer pricing reporting and country by country reporting.

Credentials

• 5+ years of Canadian Tax and International transfer pricing experience either in public practice or industry.
• Knowledge of OECD Transfer Pricing practices and OECD developments
• Post-Secondary Education in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent.
• CPA designation
• CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course or willingness to complete.
• Previous taxation experience considered an asset.
• Knowledge of financial reporting under IFRS considered an asset.
