Job description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional member service with a positive, professional approach and attitude toward customers
  • Being dependable for all scheduled shifts
  • Implementing price changes at the store level
  • Maintenance of in store and shelf labels
  • Maintaining vendor master files
  • Counting, verifying, and reporting on all inventory at the Home Centre
  • Notifying the Supervisor or Manager immediately upon shortage or overages, or any low stock items
  • Receiving of lumber and hardware products and ensuring accurate costs of goods are determined
  • Inputting pricing for upcoming sales, performing price verification process
  • Providing back-up for Home Centre File Maintenance
  • Adhering to all Evergreen Cooperative Association policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a neat, clean and orderly location at all times, as there are large amounts of data entry, seated work, and significant use of computerized work station

We are ideally seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Organizational skills and great time management
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Accurate and efficient keyboarding skills
  • Previous retail experience, inventory and ordering would be an asset
  • Quality communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of hardware and home centre products an asset
  • A drive to deliver an exceptional member experience through living our brand
  • Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
