Bidell Gas Compression is a well-established natural gas compression manufacturing company with Parts & Service locations throughout Western Canada and NW US that offer 24/7 technical support.
We have a current opening for an Inventory Control Manager based out of our Admin Parts and Service branch.
Purpose:
Reporting to the General Parts Manager. The main responsibility of this role is to manage Bidell inventory levels, and to ensure we meet our established inventory turns %. In addition, this position will be focused on reducing the slow-moving inventory company wide.
Responsibilities:
· Manage company inventory levels and ensure the division reaches the set goal turn %
· Ensure inventory reduction is a priority.
· Complete the following tasks with slow moving:
1. Identify slow moving parts company wide
2. Look for opportunities involving supersessions and duplicate part numbers
3. Work with vendors to return parts
4. Branch transfer slow moving parts to the areas where there is an opportunity to sell the parts.
5. Produce a monthly list of slow-moving parts for the branches.
6. Look for opportunities to sell slow moving parts
7. Track and report progress
8. Work closely with the branches
· Responsible for weekly stock orders including local purchasing parts
· Work with GPM to set company safeties to ensure company has the right stock on the shelf.
· Support GPM as needed with part number setup, Waukesha/Ariel ordering and branch support
· Provide New Unit spare parts quotes.
· Other duties as appropriate
Qualifications:
· Journeyman Parts Certificate.
· Minimum 5 years industry experience.
· Strong customer service and communication skills.
· Work as a team player with all staff and all other branch locations.
· Well organized and efficient.
· Detail Oriented for accurate paperwork.
· Ability to work effectively without supervision.
· Strong computer skills.
· Flexible to accommodate customers’ changing demands.
· Strong leadership ability to maintain day to day activities.
Wage Range: Commensurate with experience and education.
