Shift(s) Available: Day shift
Key accountabilities:
  • Issue parts to mechanics/stakeholders and make corresponding adjustments in the system.
  • Receive material POs in SAP for payment based on inbound deliveries from dry warehouse.
  • Work with Purchasing, Maintenance Supervisors, and Maintenance Planner to review current stock vs obsolete stock to ensure a consistently relevant and useful shelf stock.
  • Prepare kit work orders for mechanics.
  • Cycle count the parts room and review necessary adjustments system-to-physical-count with Maintenance Supervisor for approval.
  • Stock material delivered from dry warehouse receipts.
  • Perform general, food-safe, and plant-safe housekeeping of Parts Room and Maintenance Shop.
  • Receive service POs in SAP for payment.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written).
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, etc., and work in elevated areas of the plant.
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • High sense of priority and process-honoring criticality.
  • Awareness and attention to detail surrounding environmental/plant/food safety and ergonomics.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work weekends when required.
  • Must be able to pass training for Forklift and pallet jack use.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong PC skills (especially within the Microsoft Office suite).
  • Experience with working in SAP.
  • Relative parts knowledge/maintenance experience.
  • Experience with replenishment model/JIT inventory stock
  • Previous forklift experience
