Irrigation Technician

What we are looking for

Our Client Signature Irrigation is looking for an Irrigation Technician. The Irrigation Technician is responsible for providing irrigation installation services and maintenance and service of various residential and commercial irrigation systems. This person will be responsible for keeping accurate records, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship.

What we need from you

• Strong customer service background.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be self-motivated, possess strong leadership skills, and be professional in appearance and actions.
• Must be detail oriented, possess critical thinking skills and is quality results driven.
• Must be well organized with strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Strong project management experience organizing and managing all maintenance schedules.
• Must have the ability to be proactive, plan ahead, and problem solve to minimize disruption, errors, risks and keep maintenance schedules on-task, within budget and on-time.
• Absolute essential ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must take ownership of work and own the responsibilities of making sure things are done accurately and to the complete satisfaction of the customer. Ensure tasks were completed according to the contracted terms and if not, take ownership and actions to ensure these are corrected in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure, adaptable to changing priorities and without supervision.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and possibly, although rarely, holidays should the workload warrant.

What you will do

• Monitor and test old and new irrigation installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements and evaluate start-ups, winterization, and overall operation of irrigation systems.
• Low voltage lighting system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Perform minor hardscape repairs caused by irrigation installation activities.
• Conduct and record detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades as necessary for client irrigation systems.
• Work closely with General Manager, Office Manager, landscapers, and homeowners.
• Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Always represent the company’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
• Proficiently and safely use power and manually operated tools and equipment to perform irrigation installation and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and orderly job site and stocked equipment trailer.
• Forecast equipment, labor and material needs to ensure efficient production.
• Understand and meet production and maintenance schedule deadlines without sacrificing great customer service or excellent quality.
• Track materials and time on service work orders and submit daily according to current processes and procedures.
• Attend training classes and seminars as requested by management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
