Irrigation Technician

Responsibilities:

• Lead a 2-5 person team on installations, commercial & residential installs/repairs of lawn sprinkler systems
• Ability to flag/layout full systems from start to finish
• Manage material stock for the warehouse
• Ability to drive and navigate commercial van in and out of GTA area
• Training field Jr. staff and summer students
• Reading Landscape plans and irrigation drawings
• Preparing job sites with other team members
• Installing Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting Systems
• Ensure work is performed efficiently and safely in accordance with WSIB standards
• Typical working hours would be 6:30am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours and some Saturdays at peak season.
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking during the entire shift
• Must work well in high-pressure situations with team memebers on job sites
• Ability to communicate with office and field management daily on projects and customer requests

Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn new processes
• Complete understanding of how electronics work on irrigation systems
• Landscape experience: min. 5 year
• General Labour min: 5 year
• Physically fit to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers in English, both oral and written
• Clean G or G2 class drivers' record
• Ability to enter work orders on a phone/tablet from service sites. Training provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
