As an IT Account Manager, you will help IT achieve its vision by working with business partners in enabling a forward-thinking, tech-smart, innovative and contemporary municipal service.  We are looking for an individual interested in an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with IT and our client communities in delivering value through information technology solutions. As an IT Account Manager, you can expect to:

  •           Build and maintain relationships at all levels within your portfolio (executive, management, and operational) in order to understand your client's business, develop contacts and processes to become the business unit's trusted advisor on advancing business outcomes through technology solutions.

  • Build relationships with your peers in your assigned portfolio to promote collaboration and deliver on business objectives. Manage the expectations clients & IT have of each other.
  • Foster relationships within IT to support customer focused service delivery and promote the use of innovative, secure, and cost-effective technology services.

  • Provide business understanding within IT to ensure technology strategies and solutions support business outcomes. Act as advisor on IT processes, clarify IT services, capabilities and constraints in ways that are relevant and understandable.

  • Contribute to the formation of multi-year business plans: Participate in and contribute to strategic planning for both IT and customer business units to ensure alignment and value add to business unit outcomes.
  • Facilitate and contribute to the development of technology plans in support of business plans.

  • Identify and manage requests and opportunities for new business requirements within the context of business outcomes and IT service offerings.

  • Drive business opportunities / project requests through IT.

  • Identify issues as they are raised. Develop strategies to manage, mitigate or improve process.
  • Lead direct and indirect reports including recruitment, development, performance management, and recognition.

 
 
Qualifications 
  • A degree in Business, Commerce, Information Systems or a related field with at least 8 years of experience in business and/or information technology.

  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with 3 or more years of supervisory experience.

  • Exceptional customer centric, communication, conflict resolution, marketing, leadership, political acumen, influence and relationship building skills are essential in this role.

Compensation: Level F $94,168 - 144,228 per annum
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
