Commitment and Term
- 6 Month Contract (with potential to convert to permanent position)
- hours: Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm, with some after-hours support required as needed
Primary Focus
We are looking for a Jr to Intermediate IT Consultant in the Microsoft space to work within a highly skilled Consulting team. The successful candidate will deliver IT solutions to our small, mid-sized, and enterprise clients remotely and at our clients' locations. This position is ideal for a results oriented, career professional who is constantly accepting new challenges. Our IT consultants thrive on building relationships through a strong focus on client care, communication, and exceeding expectations.Key Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in an IT consulting or technical support role
- Microsoft or other industry certifications are considered strong assets
- Post-secondary education in an IT/computer related discipline will be considered an asset
- Experience with ticketing systems will be considered an asset
- Alternatively, an appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in stressful circumstances
- Ability to work flexible hours with changing priorities
- Proactively build the client relationship with each and every client engagement
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- This role requires good time management skills and an ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to match business requirements to technical solutions to create and support the right solution for our clients

Job Description
- Proactively build the client relationship with each onsite or remote client engagement
- Plan/setup/configure/deploy/troubleshoot desktops, servers, networks, with a focus on cloud services such as Azure and O365 as well as servers and storage
- Investigating, troubleshooting, problem solving and resolving technical issues and keep detailed technical documentation
- Provide a combination of on-site client support and remote support for the ESW clients primarily in the Edmonton area
- Provide after-hours support work when needed
- Provide after hours on-call support on a scheduled basis
- Assist with planning or implementation of small to complex projects
- Provide sales support to Account Managers
- Collaborate with technical Subject Matter Experts to deliver the right solution
- Maintain client commitments related to service delivery requirements
- Assisting in the delivery of automated Managed Service products
- Performing other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- This position will be based out of the ESW Edmonton, AB office location
- This role can be physically demanding at times requiring carrying, setting up and servicing of hardware weighing up to 50 lbs. in a variety of office environments
- This role requires good time management skills and an ability to work with minimal supervision
- On-Site Response: consultants may spend some of their time working side by side with clients
- Will require own vehicle with insurance appropriate to business use
- The successful candidate must comply with the safety standards of ESW-IT and/or its clients

- Will take day-to-day client direction from the Senior IT Consultant/Primary Tech onsite and will report to the Edmonton PSS Manager
- Consultants will work with various contacts that can include:
- Administration staff / middle management
- Executive management
- Other consultants with different skillsets
- Other technology vendors
- Reporting Relationships
- IT Consultant reports to PSS Manager
- No co-workers report to the IT Consultant
