What we are looking for
A self-motivated IT Support Specialist II with a passion for technology, excellent customer service, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
As an IT Support Specialist II, you’ll be responsible for providing technical support to clients regarding software and hardware matters. Your responsibilities will include investigating moderate to complex issues, handling escalations, training fellow team members, responding to customer queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and implementing solutions.
The IT Support Specialist IIis a remote work from home position; however, the ability to travel to client sites as needed remains a requirement.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing remote and onsite support
- Supporting and maintaining client infrastructure, hardware, and software
- Implementing internal and client projects
- Participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Maintaining your technical knowledge and learning new products
- Resolving escalated technical support issues relating to servers, applications, and networks
- Completing other IT related duties as required
What you’ll need to qualify
- College diploma in Computer Systems Technology or related field
- 5 years in an IT support role, preferably for anMSP
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 productivity software
- Experience with Firewalls
- Experience with PSA and RMM software
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- A dedicated distraction-free workspace
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
What would make you stand out
- MCSA, MCSE or other certifications
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Experience implementing Azure hosted solutions
- Experience with configuring WatchGuard firewalls
- Familiarity with accounting firm applications
