Cloud Application Support Specialist

The Global Security (GS) organization of which the Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) is part, is responsible for the protection and defense of CGI members, assets and data using logging, monitoring, SIEM/SOAR, endpoint security and other advanced on-prem and cloud technologies.
As a member of the GSOC team, the Cloud Application Support Specialist will be responsible for daily operations, maintenance and monitoring of cloud-based security solutions.
Together with CGI internal service providers responsible for providing on-prem and cloud hardware and network infrastructure, the Cloud Application Support Specialist will ensure the availability and performance of cloud-based security solutions.

The candidate should be passionate about security, love to solve technical challenges and like to learn new modern solutions. This member should also be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of infrastructure operations and in-depth knowledge and experience around cloud provider solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP), cloud workload log management, log monitoring and Cloud SIEM solutions.
Education and Certifications
• Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
•Degree in IT Security, Engineering or Technology related fields a major plus
•Relevant certifications are highly desirables
Experience / Expertise
The candidate should have expertise and strong experience (3+ years) in at least two (2) of the following areas:
•Cloud Security Infrastructure Support
•Security Solutions Support
•Security Infrastructure Support
•IT and/or Security Innovation and automation
Cloud Security Application Support Experience:
•Experience in support Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions (i.e: Fugue)
•Experience in supporting SIEM Solutions (i.e: Elastic, Splunk, ArcSight, Qradar, Azure Sentinel)
•Experience is using infrastructure automation solutions (ie: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.)
•Experience with various log sources and security services from public cloud providers (i.e: AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor Logs, etc.)
•Strong understanding of identity and access management in cloud environments (i.e: Azure Active Directory)
•Understanding of enterprise scale cloud subscriptions
•Understanding of hybrid cloud environments
Skills:
•Strong understanding of Linux and Windows based operating systems
•Understanding of scripting (bash shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
•Understanding of common data formats such as JSON, YAML, XM, Markdown
•Understanding of security operations
•Understanding of data protection
•Communication (Oral/Written) (English and French a major plus)
