It - System Integration Developer

The System Integration Developer is responsible to contribute to the requirements, design, development and run of Septodont’s IT System Integration solutions. This role includes project contributions like development of new Boomi System Integrations among our SAP ERP and satellites, as well as run-mode operational contributions including the monitoring of production integrations and their troubleshooting/ resolutions where needed.

• We are seeking a candidate to reside at our Cambridge, ON, Canada office headquarters location, and would be expected to collaborate remotely with the IT System Integrations and data team members in Canada and France.
• This role is based in Septodont’s global Information Technology department, and reports to the IT Director Data & Analytics (located in Canada).

• Business System Integration & process development; Design, build, and run System Integrations, using Septodont’s global Boomi iPaaS infrastructure, to connect and synchronize data across our business systems.
• Works collaboratively with business stakeholders & IT system owners to come to agreements on System Integration requirements; Publish artifacts which communicate the integration scope to gain stakeholder understanding and buy-in.
• On a project basis, design and build new System Integrations to meet the operational and functional requirements; provide advice on design options to stakeholders to help arrive at robust and efficient solutions.
• Perform as a member of Septodont’s iPaaS Hub team, including responsibilities for iPaaS platform management, environment setup and run, design and deployment standards and best-practice guidelines, access and release control.
• Liaise with iPaaS vendor for tool roadmap, feature awareness, training, & platform issues as needed.
• Helps foster the iPaaS Hub Team & related business user/support community at Septodont.
• Partner with Data Quality Analyst, Business Analysts and system/data owners globally to understand opportunities and limitations related to data management; propose improvement recommendations based on IT system, data structure, process and integration perspectives.
• Champion the use of leading practices in integrations solution design and functionality, through active participation and contributions to the Hub developer community. (knowledgebase, templates, coaching, design reviews, etc.).
• Contribute to the System Integrations project roadmap: ideas definition, prioritization.
• Maintain a high-standard internal capability for development & operations of integrations, knowledgebase, best-practices /patterns, etc. for improved service levels

Education:

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, or a 3-year college diploma in Computer Science.

Experience & skills:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Systems Integration Developer, Business Systems Developer, or similar, with a minimum intermediate-level development skills with leading cloud integration tools like Boomi iPaaS. Demonstrated career-focus in business system and integration development and/or ERP functional business analysis.
• Preferred if hold Boomi Developer Certifications (please specify which ones and dates achieved).
• Demonstrated experience building integration solutions for core business processes like Financial, Sales, Supply Chain, Distribution, and Customer Analysis, as well as Manufacturing, Production and Quality. Familiar with the business process steps and data structures common to these areas, as well as business ERP and CRM systems like SAP S4/HANA, Salesforce.com and their related System Integration mechanisms (APIs).
• Knowledge and hands-on application of System Integration design patterns, frameworks, error-handling and resiliency techniques, as well as data management processes and data quality / enrichment techniques.
• Strong communication and clear documentation skills, with ability to interact directly with stakeholders across business units and accountability levels.
