Janitor/Maintenance (Trail)

You like to keep busy and take pride when your site is sparkling clean and safe, both inside and out. Sound like you? We are looking for a Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team in a part-time role at Waneta Plaza.

You are

• Energetic, flexible, and reliable
• Friendly, courteous, self-motivated, and professional
• A true multi-tasker
• Someone who can work independently

You will

• Sweep and mop floors
• Vacuum carpets
• Empty trash
• Sanitize restroom and other high traffic areas
• Snow clear in the winter and landscape in summer months
• Complete general cleaning, as assigned
• Respond to tenant and customer requests

You have

• Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment and snow removal equipment (must have)
• An openness to work with cleaning chemicals – training will be provided
• The ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• The ability to make minor repairs throughout the shopping centre (preferred)

Workday

• Permanent Part-Time, up to 24 hours per week, in addition to covering sick/vacation days

Salary

• Per Collective Agreement $18.31/hour probationary period; then up to $20.34/hour
