BlueRock was founded in 2013 by industry veterans with a mission to simplify logistics. We believe that our academic roots and expertise in Logistics, Data Science, and Software Development provide us with a unique perspective to identify our clients’ needs. Our innovative platform has managed to integrate insights, daily operations, and continuous optimisation in a singular holistic platform. How you will pave the way of your future with BlueRock
The position of Java Software Developer relates to the international roll-out of our operative and analytical software platform. We are creating a world-wide standard for large and small companies. You will be part of our development team and work together with business analysts, project managers and modellers in implementations and in the continuous further development of the software, the algorithms and the user interaction.
Your responsibilities involve:
Develop and maintain software applications using Java& Python, and other relevant technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutions
Write efficient and scalable code that meets project requirements
Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely manner
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Who you are and beyond:
A natural interest and passion for logic since childhood (whether it is with programming, playing chess, gaming making device, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
Strong proficiency in Java & Python, and other front-end technologies
Experience with back-end technologies such as saponify, PL/SQL, SSIS, AWS, TFS, and Shell Scripting
Familiarity with version control systems like SVN
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
Experience with non-academic project work is an advantage
Creative problem solver and strong attention to detail
An enthusiastic team player with a drive to make a difference
