Journeyperson Pipefitter
Journeyperson Pipefitter
Project: Suncor Base Plant
Location: Fort McMurray
Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off
Wage: $50.66 per hour as per collective agreement
Benefits and RRSP Provided as per collective agreement
Accommodations: Camp provided
Travel: Flight or driving allowance available
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Process piping and equipment installations.
  • Threading, cutting, grooving, bending, and measuring of piping.
  • Piping modifications and pipe support installations.
  • Working with plans and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
  • Hydrostatic testing of installed piping systems.
  • Ensuring safe work practices, EH&S processes, and OH&S compliance are followed on-site.
Experience required:
  • To be considered for this position you must be a registered Journeyperson in the trade of Steamfitter-Pipefitter.
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.
  • Experience on major industrial project sites.
  • The ability to lift, carry, and handle weight up to 50lbs.
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and have the ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.

  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry & Monitor
  • CSTS-09 or OSSA BSO
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Valid Journeyperson/Apprentice Certificate
Candidates will be required to pass an alcohol and drug test as a pre-requisite to employment and site access.
