What a Junior Accountant will do here…

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance. The Junior Accountant will work on various accounting tasks, including preparation of financial statements, financial analysis, banking, etc.

Role overview:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Perform routine accounting activities such as data entry, accounts payable and receivable processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance filings.
• Compile and analyze financial data to support decision-making processes.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Sage50).
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
• Criminal background check required.

What will make you a perfect candidate…

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage50).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus (note that C-Therm is willing to support educational costs)
• Legal experience is an asset.
