Job Title:Junior Coordinator, Member Relations
Department: Communications & Membership
Position Status: Full Time (32 hours per week), Summer Contract (June 3, 2024 - August 30, 2024)

Hourly Wage Range: $22 - $24 per hour. This is the starting wage range for this role and may vary based on a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Position Summary
The Junior Coordinator, Member Relations will support the Specialist, Member Relations with a series of database management projects. This important work involves engaging with the Whistler business community, digitally and in-person, to help ensure effective strategies are in place for future membership outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
  • Assist in the maintenance of Tourism Whistler’s member database, including member contact and business information
  • Provide administrative support such as reporting and monitoring the Member Communications inbox as required
  • Support the Specialist, Member Relations, with five key projects including:
  • Performing a resort-wide commercial tenant registration audit
  • Updating employee contact information at member businesses in D365 (Tourism Whistler’s CRM database)
  • Implementing a new tagging strategy for member contacts in D365 for more effective advanced finds and list-pulling
  • Developing a comprehensive database of hotel concierge and front desk contacts
  • Conducting an audit of the Whistler Business Directory on whistler.com
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented, with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Technical aptitude with proven computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • HTML skills and previous database management experience an asset
  • Existing knowledge of Whistler preferred
