Junior Recruiter - 6 month contract
Job description
Reports to:  Director, Talent Acquisition
Purpose of Position
This role is focused on the attraction, sourcing, recruitment, and hiring of top-tier talent while fostering a robust talent pipeline.
Work Environment
The incumbent in this role operates in an office environment, involving tasks conducted while seated, standing, or walking, with flexibility in movement. This position is primarily office-based.
Structure and Relationship
Reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition, this position interfaces with various stakeholders, including job seekers, community and educational partners, Account Managers, Talent and Uniform personnel, Human Resources, Learning and Development, and Scheduling departments.
Required Skills
This position is well-suited for an individual who excels in meeting targets, thrives under pressure, and consistently meets deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount, as is the ability to take initiative. Ideal candidates should embody a positive team spirit, adaptability to change, and a steadfast commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
-Minimum 1 year of recruitment experience, preferably in a staffing or high-volume setting.
-Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, such as call center, retail, or hospitality.
-Profound knowledge of recruitment best practices, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment methodologies.
-Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
 
Desired Skills
-Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or other HR software.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 
Task Related Objectives
-Analyze organizational plans and objectives, liaise with Account Managers and Site Supervisors to fully comprehend hiring requirements.
-Actively engage in discussions concerning open positions to gain a clear understanding of specific job requirements.
-Approve or generate job requisitions within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
-Craft compelling job postings for candidates, distributing them across GardaWorld's website and external job boards.
-Source, interview, and evaluate candidates for security-related employment opportunities.
-Cultivate a diverse applicant pipeline through various channels, including ATS applicants, referrals, job boards, community and education partners, and social media.
-Assess incoming applications for suitability in terms of qualifications, experience, and licensing.
-Participate in hiring events.
-Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, verifying candidate identification and licensing, and ensuring all necessary documents are completed and signed.
-Uphold ISO compliance standards.
-Collaborate with the Scheduling department to establish suitable work schedules for new hires.
-Partner with the Uniform Department to ensure professional attire and provision of protective equipment for security personnel.
