Job Description:
As a Retail Associate at Sheldon Creek Dairy Farm Store, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and promoting our farm's products. You will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they enter the store, assist them in finding products, and provide product recommendations based on their preferences. Answer any inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and farm practices.
- Sales: Process customer transactions accurately using the POS system. Upsell and cross-sell products to increase sales and promote customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Sheldon Creek Dairy Farm's products, including their ingredients, production methods, and nutritional benefits. Educate customers about the farm's sustainable practices and commitment to quality.
- Stocking and Merchandising: Ensure shelves are adequately stocked with fresh dairy products and other merchandise. Monitor inventory levels and communicate any replenishment needs to the management team. Maintain attractive product displays and ensure proper signage.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and organized at all times, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Monitor refrigeration units to ensure products are stored at the appropriate temperatures. Assist with opening and closing procedures as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives. Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to address any issues or concerns.
- Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety regulations and sanitation standards. Follow cash handling protocols and maintain confidentiality of customer information.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Tech Savvy. We love our technologies we use Shopify so it is an asset if you have used it.
- Knowledge of dairy products and farming practices is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
